Bottles drifting out into the sea,

Metal cans littered by you and me.

Plastic bags and a petri dish,

About to be mistaken for a jellyfish.

Oil coats a pelican’s wings

As it becomes tangled in nets and strings.

A frisbee lost by kids, playing,

A newspaper from a sleeping man, laying.

Sponges, tires, even leather shoes-

But will YOU litter? That’s for you to choose.

You can change the world, easily and quick-

Will you make the world clean or sick?

It’s all up to you because we know how

To save the environment, here and now.

We’re just too careless, just too lazy,

Can’t see what’s right in front of us, everything’s hazy.

But that can change and with no sweat!

Easy as the alphabet.

You just have to take the time to save your home,

And animals will have far more time to roam.
