Don’t judge a book by its cover,
Don’t judge a dog by its breed.
Don’t judge a person by their color,
Don’t judge a plant by its seed.
Even though we may look different,
We’re all the same inside.
Even though we’re different colors,
We all have a wonderful mind.
So, if you’re ever feeling lonely or different,
Know that you’re not alone.
Even if there’s no one around you,
You’re never on your own.
Like a seedling, you can sprout
And grow high and strong.
Instead of being weak and afraid,
Sing a different song.
Don’t ever doubt your inner power,
Because you are mighty inside.
Don’t listen to what the others say,
Just lift your head with pride.
They might tease you and bully you,
But stand up for your race.
Sometimes all of your inner beauty
Isn’t shown on your face.
But you are beautiful,
Just the way you are.
One day people will know your name,
From near and from far.
